I wish they would make it clearer in the link. When I received and unpacked it, the strap was VERY long. Of course, the front of the box says it's the Ken Onion Edition with the blade sharpening attachment. It would be helpful to mention this somewhere on the product page. I'm not sure how it works as I have yet to invest in this application.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Trash for me $20

Maybe it's operator error or maybe it's the straps. I make knives as a hobby and I love the KO blade attachment it saves me tons of time. The supplied straps serve their purpose perfectly. After researching it, I thought it was up the game, so to speak. They didn't get any sharper than the original straps before one of them broke after 10 knives. I tried different pressures and none was better than the other. Not that I will buy again.

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I don't quite understand

Maybe I didn't break them enough, but they ruined my edges more than they were of any use. I can get my blades to a screaming edge with a 12k finish belt, but once I run through the first my blades dull noticeably and it's more like abrasive belt. However, using the same technique, pressure, and speed when using third-party leather straps improves the selvage, so I don't think the overall technique is to blame.

Pros
  • sharpening stones
Cons
  • boring packaging
