I had a mold smell problem. Yay! Nothing got rid of the smell except bleach. I don't like the smell of bleach and it ruins the sponge. Then I tried an old bath towel, but it took on the same smell just as quickly. I realized that the fabric should be airy to avoid this smell. I've looked in stores and couldn't find it. They are a lot thicker than I expected. My mother had similar ones, only much thinner and smaller. I was very disappointed at first, but with a little trial and error I'm really very satisfied. I've found that I can't get all of the detergent onto the fabric or it's almost impossible to get all of the soap off. I dip it in soapy water and wring it out thoroughly until it's almost dry. It's too wet and you just spill water everywhere. It takes a lot of force to push them out because they are…
