Description of 🔪 WrapCut® Precision Edge Cutting Tape, 1/8-Inch X 200 Feet, 1 Roll, 883662001260

Used to make precise trim lines through many printed vinyl and protective film products. The cutting filament is ALWAYS at the very edge of the tape, producing a perfect cut every time. Produces impressively straight cut-lines. Conformable around irregular shapes and angles. Ergonomic, protective plastic spools for easy handling and application

Poor Execution - Craft Tape

Can't make turns, wanted to open vents on my good GT350 fenders but couldn't get it to make corners or turns at all. In addition, the rope used can leave fibers, which is very bad when winding. Probably good for stems and straight lines, but there are other products that work for both.

A little disappointed - although I did my job

This tape was cheaper and I think it's because of the materials? The cut is fine, but the tape itself is pretty inflexible and the glue is pretty light. My project was to wrap a bike, so the curves I made were pretty extreme compared to working on a larger canvas. However, it didn't feel like this band wasn't designed for any type of flex at all. Even when you watch your own videos, the tape does not ripple. It may work, but to be honest I will try a different brand in future projects. Going…

Easier to use than 3m (green) but the cut is much coarser.

Much easier to start cutting than with a 3m tape, but the end result was far from ideal for me. It works great, lays down easily, cuts easily, but the cut itself is a little tattered. You can use a plastic edge to smooth out the cut, but the idea is to get the perfect cut from the start. Another positive is that there is far less chance of accidentally snapping that cut line than a 3m line, buuuuuuuuuuut again, if end cut quality and a super smooth edge is your goal, this may not be the product

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Does it have an expiration date?

I bought it about a year ago and it sat in the closet until recently. Maybe it's just old, I don't know, but not only is it not due to what I'm wearing, it's almost impossible to separate the thread from the ribbon itself. Any bend more than 5 degrees or so and it just curls up and falls off. Apparently it works for some of the reviewers here, but the reel sitting next to me right now is less than useless. I'll buy a new roll of a different brand and see if it's different. Edit: So it doesn't…

The cutting line is more precise

I like that the wire is on the edge of the ribbon. Done correctly, the tape will not remain under the vinyl after the wire is pulled out and the trim removed. I quickly taped this piece to the top of the left front fender of a C6 Vette just to see what this cheap tape would do. This was done at around 52 degrees Fahrenheit, which is not recommended. Of course, he will not make sharp turns with a radius of less than 40 mm (1 1/2). Maybe with a little warm-up and practice it can bend more? For…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
