She explained to me that using the bobbin winder on my sewing machine to wind all my bobbins can easily wear out the machine over time. She suggested I get this one instead and I've used it so far with no problems. I have an old Pfaff but I think they have the same coils although I'm not sure. When I called the dealer and asked what part number or type they had, they told me Pfaff have branded spools. I've been using plastic arch supports for many years, so I figured this would work. I couldn't put a spool on a similar wire on a spindle.
