Works well as long as you are satisfied. I tested some panels with it. It won't be used constantly so it will last me a long time if done well enough.

Good device. Built for a purpose and does it well. My battery tester has a solar test function but cannot test more than 100W. The banana plug makes it easy to add adapters.

These testers work very well, I had bad panels in some rows that worked fine when testing for open circuit voltage or open circuit current with a multimeter, but this tester loads the panels which helped me very quickly bad Diagnosing panels paid for itself the first time. So I had some hopes that it would be decent, but there are a number of things I don't like. The display is difficult to read in direct sunlight. more than an amp. The voltage was off compared to the Fluke meter. The readings are instantaneous, it doesn't hold the load on the amp to make sure the panel is fine, it's just a peak load per second. It just seems like the readings aren't accurate enough compared to proper meter comparisons.

I am very upset with this meter. I only started using it 1 day ago since my panels just arrived. After yesterday and today until 3 minutes ago it was great - it showed the output voltages of the panels used. I have 23 more panels and she just died. No manufacturer should allow something like that. I went to Revain to arrange a return and replacement only to find out the return window closed 4 days ago.
