Cheaper steel model Better than chrome

I bought both steel and chrome seats. I know every seat affects every driver differently, but I found the steel version much better. The extra 30% cushioning on the chromoly was enough to cause inner thigh pain. I don't wear biker shorts or padding of any kind and I really liked the steel version. Why didn't I give a five? I keep this brand for your $150-$200 seats. I would recommend this product to anyone who, like me, commutes or drives 20-30 miles a day. My experience so far has not been on…

Great seat updated for 2019. Terrible label placement on packaging.

Great seat! Almost identical to the previous WTB SPEED saddle except it has different graphics on the top. Love these graphics - a more sophisticated and refined look - the previous one was a bit nasty with glossy tribal style graphics. "Choose the right fit" sticker. This sticker came off terribly and it took me 15 minutes with a hair dryer to remove all the adhesive. I almost pushed the seat back, it was so annoying. But in the end the glue came off normally.

    Comfort for serious riders

I ride 7 days a week mostly trails and the occasional road. Most trips last at least two hours, sometimes five hours. WTB is the only saddle I've used since 1998 because I haven't tried any other saddle that comes close to comfort and that's because this saddle is designed to flex. On every bike I've bought (2 dedicated Stumpjumpers, Trek Stache 7, Yeti Hardtail, REI Novara, 2 Jamis Renegades) I've dropped the stock seats and replaced them with WTBs. I prefer plain steel to chromoly rails…

Very comfortable but lasts a long time

A little background. I have owned 2 WTB Volt Steel saddles in the last 4 years. Both failed, each of the leads broke. I ride 90% road and 10% easy track, no jumps. My weight is 175 pounds. After about 40 miles on the Volts, I developed ischial pain. Now I have cromoly speed. I rode 110 miles on speed yesterday and not a hint of tenderness could go further, at least as far as my bum is concerned. So the Speed is definitely more comfortable for long rides. I bought the cromoly version to see if…
