I need to use several paper cutters of different sizes. For the most part this is a great cutter, easy to move around and works accurately. I'm sure the wear and tear over time will be as expected. I don't currently see any design flaws that would be due to an accelerated reduction. Acceptable item.

This article (Made in China) is not made of wood but of MDF (Medium Fiber Board). It has an angled groove for the fence/rail. This is a weak point as it bends at an angle when cutting thicker material in this groove. Over time, bending will break the MDF board in the groove at an angle. To fix this we screwed and glued wooden support battens to the base to prevent buckling. Otherwise it does its job.

I bought this to use for cutting large full length plastic sheets. The kind you engrave where the color is one and the lettering is a different color after it's engraved through the top layer (e.g. a red plate with white lettering). Due to the thick, oversized material, I had to reinforce it with hand clamps to prevent the case from twisting when downward pressure is applied.
