Looks great but lacks power! waste of money!

The sharpener looks nice but lacks power. Sharpening a new pencil takes a good 60-90 seconds and sticks with every squeeze. It's a constant battle between enough pressure to keep the pin from spinning and not too much pressure to stop it completely. I am very disappointed and will now buy an electric sharpener. Definitely not recommended. waste of money!

  • Stable test results

  • Crumpled

Good price, does not tip or slide.

Good build quality, like almost every electric sharpener, the stupid chip door is very loose and easy to move when you take it with you. with one hand and very well. Sticky rubber feet and heavy enough that it doesn't even try to tip over. This is a good indicator of half a dozen pens of different hardness and size, including some colored ones. That's a good value. I got this Xacto because one of my Panasonic sets died and that model is no longer made. I love it so much that if another…

Sharp pencils -> happy children -> happy parents

X-actlo is what we need. Having kids means having pens. Having pencils and kids means lots of broken pencil tips. Broken pencil points mean a sharpener is needed. After struggling with more broken tips from a manual sharpener, I first bought an electric (plugged in) sharpener at a local store and it worked great for a couple of pencils. Then he just turned, but no longer touched the pins. He returned to the store and left. I came across this model and based on the overall positive reviews…

Pros
  • Writing and correction needs

  • No power

Sharpen like there's no tomorrow

The first thing that strikes you is the sheer size of the battery-powered pencil sharpener. Requires 4 AA batteries and they take up space. At the same time, the storage for pencil shavings is too small for me, and it seems that I have to empty it every other pencil. I find that the pencil point process works pretty well. There is a good point on each pencil and I have had almost no point breakage. It's harder to work with smaller children as the engine will stall if you put too much pressure…

Pros
  • Pencil sharpener
Cons
  • Legacy model

Single Blade Pencil Sharpener with Multiple Problems

It's not that good and let me explain why. On the front of the box it says it gets a 6 out of 10 on the "performance scale". Let's see why I should have looked for something better. First, the battery compartment is really thin. The first time I moved it (before I'd sharpened a pencil) the door popped out. Of course I can make it better by bending the latch or even putting tape on the bottom, but why would I do that on a new item? Secondly, it does not have two cutting blades, and the blade…
