Great Temps: Heatsink

This is a thicker paste that comes with a plastic spreader card. Works well, temperature is low. Used it as a replacement for Arctic Silver. Would buy again.

Old Noodles. in computer components

I applied this paste 2 months ago and had to remove the heatsink to reset the cmos (itx mobo). When I removed the radiator I noticed that this paste didn't spread at all. I had a high fever but thought it was poor ventilation. The paste itself was firm and didn't spread at all. Apparently I have an old batch. Now I use a different paste and the results are much better.

Shin-Etsu is the ONLY thermal paste I'm allowed to touch my CPU with.

Shin-Etsu is the best thermal paste I've ever used. It withstands low temperatures and lasts a very long time. This is an industrial silicone paste made in Japan, and whether you're using air or water cooling, expect excellent performance. Don't waste your time with other "popular" brands. is what you want Take a look at the comparative studies and see for yourself: Shin-Etsu performs best when it comes to booting the system.
