🔧 XDP Duramax CAT Adapter Kit - 1R-0750 Filter, Bleeder Screw & Spacer Review

I bought this for my 2005 Chevy Silverado because the filter prices were killing me. My truck loves it! Definitely help with the prices and it's not the best filter. There is no water separator, so I plan on switching to a Donaldson P553203 for my next oil change. Installation took about 30 minutes.

This improved filter is very easy to install. I always use a hotshot edt when filling up, which disperses water in the fuel, so I wasn't worried about losing the water sensor from the stock filter. My mileage has increased by about 2mpg and I love that I now filter the fuel by 2 microns. Another bonus is that cat filters are cheaper than standard filters.

Back in 2016, lml was a bit difficult to install at first, but it took 45 minutes to get up and running. Already 10,000 miles with a new filter with no issues with leaks or engine checks and fuel economy has increased by 2mpg. Now I don't have to remove the black carpet wheel on my truck because it's a lot longer than the stock filter and you also disconnect the sensor when you install it and stop using it, the check engine light doesn't come on at all and works beautifully.

Rotated adapter seems to work fine. I've had it for about a week now and no leaks or issues that I can find. The kit included a mounting spacer and two pairs of screws of different lengths. According to the instructions, shorter screws should be used for my truck model. They were too short. So I tried another set of longer ones and they were too long and with a bottom brim. I TRIED to install this on my 2006 GMC 6.6 LBZ.
