Tried many ways to make it work Couldn't move it. We tried glue, a sticky base, several coats of varnish, they did not give anything good. Finally tried applying a primer directly to the back and letting it dry and then removing the decals. Although literally 3 coats of paint were glued on, there were still holes in the foil. Unfortunately, some foils don't apply as well as others (and some of these were my favorite colors in the pack!), but I will definitely use them in other designs that require more inconsistent application. It's fun but a bit difficult to apply. You have to paint the nail, let it dry so it gets a bit tacky, press the foil on and then it looks great. However, you don't get a smooth film application, more of a diffuse look. Which I think still looks cool. However, once you apply a clear coat to it, the gloss of the film will fade. It doesn't retain the chrome-like finish. However, if you do not put a transparent layer on top, it will immediately begin to crack and peel off.

This set contains 24 different foils. These slides are nicely and neatly packaged in clear plastic. The colors and patterns are amazing. Wonderful for yourself or a great gift for someone who loves nails. I highly recommend them. To find the perfect foil glue, I recommend googling "best nail foil glue”. You can watch several videos that compare film adhesives and they vary greatly in how well they work. Always apply a water-based top coat to the film to prevent it from wrinkling and ruining it.
