We have bought 4 pairs of these shoes in the last 2 years. They outgrow long before they wear out. In fact, none of them are worn out. My grandson loves them and he always wears them. I love them and so does my son. I ordered a size larger (9.5) than his usual shoe size (9) and they have a bit of room to grow over the summer, but they probably won't fit like I was hoping for next year. BUT they suit him and he loves them. They don't get stuck in the sand like regular water shoes because the water is free to flow through the sole.
