I needed a small kettle to make coffee. This kettle fits perfectly and I love the copper finish.

Bought this for my husband so he would have hot water to use for pouring into a french press for coffee. He has become very fond of the French press lately and that suits him perfectly.

An easy-to-use thermometer for accurate coffee and tea temperatures. I'm trying to limit my microwave use and this little kettle is perfect. Seamless stainless steel panels are easy to clean and very attractive. Heats water quickly, handle stays cold.

Suitable for electric and gas burners. The thermometer is accurate. The ideal point for brewing coffee is clearly marked. And he explains well. Every drop of water comes through the curved spout without tipping it to the side. The lid closes tightly. It also looks good.

Michelin tire construction heats water very quickly and a thermometer shows when the water is at the ideal temperature for brewing. The gooseneck allows you to cast with precision, which is especially useful when using liner or ground material. This is the best little kettle I've ever had!

When checking my purchase I noticed a small black coating on the spout. Not wanting grease in my coffee, I dabbed the spout with a fresh piping brush. To my horror, it was COVERED in a black substance that also fell back into the pan. See attached photos. I would NOT trust this pot as I don't want to know what that stuff is and I'll be back soon. It's also worth noting that the thermometer is plastic and the bezel was scratched as it wasn't covered by the packaging.

This kettle looks and acts even more expensive than its price, it will be a wonderful gift. A word of advice: remember to boil water and baking soda a few times to melt the invisible coating that is applied to most kettles after production so they don't absorb anything bad during shipping. Otherwise, like me, you'll think regular washing is enough and take on a weird taste that gives you a headache - that's just not acceptable when you're buying a new kettle that's been properly treated so it…

To be able to accurately determine the water temperature for different types of coffee, tea etc. something like that. Yes, and that's why this kettle gets four stars. The built-in thermometer shows an error of 5 degrees - that's too much if you care about the taste of your drinks. I was going to put three in it but my wife likes the look of the teapot so it will be four. I think I might return it for another, but who knows how far that will go? UPDATE: I sent the first one back and replaced it.
