Really nice device

I have purchased several pumps to drain the oil from my engine and have not been satisfied with any of them until I purchased this product. This product worked exactly as advertised it sucked everything out of the motor no problem no problem all working hose sizes very easy to use very happy with this product. It was a good buy. I paid $17 for mine and it works fantastic

Pumped out a gallon before it died

Used to dump used oil from a larger container into a 1 gallon jug for recycling. At the end of the first gallon the new pump started to smell hot. I took it off to let it rest and a large puddle of oil came out of the case. I opened it up, cleaned it up and opened it up for a few seconds to see where the oil was coming from. The pump shaft itself burned out, which indicates a bad seal. It goes in the trash can.

Do not pump anything contaminated with gas.

This does not work on my 2012 GMC Terrain. I couldn't get it to get into the oil pan through the dipstick tube. This may be due to the construction of the vehicle and not the tool itself. I also pumped out some oil from the generator that was contaminated with fuel and the pump stopped working after pumping about a liter and a half. It was probably my fault because the instructions said no fuel should be pumped with a tool and the oil contained more gas than oil.
