Exel Check and Install

If you don't want to go to professionals and want to have multiple patients, this works great! The only tip I've learned to prevent the product from sticking to the doors is to use masking tape on the edge to shape it and help the sticking. I also used a hair dryer for extra warmth. I can't say anything about the durability or whether it will survive the winter months, because it looks great at the moment! Overall not much swearing and worth the effort! !

Falling Door Guard

I installed this on my S10 in May 2017. It looked great before winter came, now it's peeling, the adhesive is still stuck to my truck but the vinyl has peeled off the adhesive. Apparently I installed it correctly and prepared the surface properly, and the quality of the material is also to blame. I will try to contact xpel or Revain and see if anything can be done to resolve this situation. I spent $160 for two rolls of this and it didn't even last a year.

Looks good - too early to say durability

Installed on my 2021 Ford Bronco. It wasn't a fun time, but it was my first time doing something like this. I think it turned out great for a beginner, but we'll have to see how it holds up over time. Preparation is extremely important and you should schedule someone to help you. Only used 1 of 2 rolls from the pack. Even if it only lasts a year, it will be enough for me to do it again (but next time I will have experience).

Pros
  • Easy to use

  • Not reliable

Professional installation fee

I purchased this rocker panel product for my Dodge 4x4 Diesel. It can be applied with minimal preparation and is fairly easy to continue after watching a YouTube video. It is very durable and sticks well to smooth surfaces. But rounded corners and curved lines? Not as much. I had to make some triangular cuts on the rounded corners to even it out and I wasn't sure I'd be happy with the result. I only worked on one side of my truck and tested it the next morning to find that it curled whenever I…

Rather spend money to repaint the truck!

I've been using this product on my 2008 F250 for over a year and it's holding up pretty well. eventually peels off. Better cut it with a utility knife or razor blade exactly to the length of the area you are covering. Make sure the surface is clean and all air bubbles are out. If you don't get all the air bubbles, you can easily peel it off and put it back on. It's very sticky so make sure to measure and draw a line before installing to ensure uniformity and aesthetics. My truck had some rock…

Sweat Equity is good for interiors

Installed this universal strip and a pre-cut protective film from another supplier on my freshly painted 1994 Lexus SC300. Use this rocker panel plank for the rocker panels and also cut out small pieces for other areas that the front set of pre-cut pieces won't cover such as the front panel. B. door edges. Installation is both complicated and time-consuming. You need a very clean workplace and clean hands when handling the foil after removing the release paper so that no dirt gets under the…

The result is worth the pain

I wanted to protect my new car and I knew about the special front cutout. But it was too expensive to justify. Then I saw this Rocker Panel Guard from the same company. After further research, I confirmed that this footage is exactly the same as the custom cutout. After some discussion and justification of this cost, I finally placed the order. As it's not custom made you really need to plan before you even cut the material to make sure the placement is right, especially if you're working with…
