    BIG!. Tripod camera extension!

    I am planning an international trip and have two tripods that I wanted to take with me due to space limitations AND weight. The larger one is light but takes up space and adds weight to a bag that is already close to the weight limit. The shorter one is a good size and fits in my purse but lacks height. Enter Xshot 2.0! The built in adaptive screw mount on the bottom allows me to mount it on my short tripod and a Sony Handycam (about 1lb) on the XShot meaning I don't need to pack a taller…

    Bought to snowboard with my GoPro Hero3

    Conclusion: This construction is not strong enough to prevent the GoPro from rocking on the end of the extendable stem. I bought it to keep my GoPro away from me while snowboarding. I didn't really like the look of the helmet mounts when snowboarding so I took them to keep my camera away from me. Thanks to the wide angle of the GoPro camera, you can see your person almost completely when it is fully extended. It worked great for a while, but this thing isn't well made to deal with the vibration

    Great for use with GoPro Hero 3 and GoPro Tripod Mount

    I took this thing out of the box, attached the GoPro to the tripod mount and then attached it to the xShot 2.0. It worked as expected and seems solid and easy to use. The shots you take with it are amazing on GoPro. This is very helpful when photographing large crowds and generally gives you absolutely amazing angles.     Vulnerability almost got me!

    As with most other one star reviews, the Xshot's collar broke shortly after first use. Back then my GoPro 3 (along with the LCD BacPac) was attached to it and then suddenly stopped. I was on a dirt bike at the time, and the sight of a $450 camera falling on the dirt while I was moving at about 35 miles per hour caused no small amount of consternation.     Update June 2013: Taken on a cruise. I have to say I was really impressed with this item and would say it was one of the best items I have ever bought until I started cutting myself. photographs of people.
