Review on XShot 2.0 Camera Extender for All Major Camera Models - XS2379-F by Simone Black

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Improved model and works great. Updated via sharp edge.

Update June 2013: Taken on a cruise. I have to say I was really impressed with this item and would say it was one of the best items I have ever bought until I started cutting myself. photographs of people. Impossible angle shots when camera is hanging over railings or outdoors/water. Using xshot, we really appreciate some of the people who just volunteered to take our photos, making them look even more normal for trying so hard. I had to take about 3 shots to get a shot as you can't prefocus. negative result. On my model with this groove and camera attached, retracting the joystick is difficult because you can't grab the mounting head. Basically, the grooves bite the snake on the finger. I had no idea how I got two tears on my finger until I realized it happened while sucking it up. Each time he cut my arm until it started bleeding. Recommended as antennas - they flatten rather than rough cut as currently sold. while.Delay of 2 seconds is not enough but 10 seconds is too long. This helped thanks to my Sony camera's face recognition, allowing me to take the camera out and smile at it to provoke a shot. You have to explain to the cruise crew what it is. It didn't pass the scanners. The corner proved to be a bit flexible on the mount. Concerned in the long term. The camera's screw mount was solid. Overall: Since he was constantly inflicting an open wound, I should bring it down to 4 or 3.5. Information from a previous review: Will be very useful when traveling. I've always hated leaving the camera on a ledge where someone could walk past and steal in 3 countries or ask strangers to take a picture. The length is more than adequate - in fact I would consider a shorter one for easier carrying. Positive. (improved model) Looking at the photos compared to Revain's I see the following. 1. There is now a tripod hole on the bottom and the strap is still part of the device. 2. The extension poles are grooved on the sides so the stem is not totally smooth as shown in the pictures. With the camera, it won't turn that way. I would have gone with the smaller version of the Xshot, but I read it spins so I went with this one instead. You'll need to tighten it a bit to make sure it doesn't loosen or move. In the worst case, the camera tilts a little. The camera lock screw is durable. Really say it's 4.5 stars.
