I thought they were more curved but other than that I'm happy. They will be better than my freehand attempts.

Other reviews warned of low quality but for me it was all about budget and I took a chance. Fortunately, I have many friends who can sharpen them for me.

If you have the time, some whetstones or a dremel, this is a good and cheap option. Get ready to really sharpen them. They won't hold the edge very long, even in the video where I've polished the edge quite a bit and I run my fingernail over the edge and still feel the roughness. I can get a good edge on anything, but these won't hold a hairline. Otherwise buy the Tandy brand.

I'm new to #UniqueLeatherCrafting and am learning a lot along the way. When you're starting out you can't just go out and buy the best and you never know what you might want to use. I bought them to try and they came in handy a couple of times. They are very sharp and cut through thick skin like butter. I wanted to make an archer's finger guard like the old Ben Pearson guard I used in the 1960's. I still had the youth strap but it was too small for my adult hand. I put the tab in an inkjet printer and made a 110% copy of the original. Cut and trace on a 3mm thick piece of leather. Leather scissors worked for the outer edges.
