Simple, strong and effective

We bought this when we saw his review on ATK, so we were expecting something good. However, I had no idea it was that good. It's small and unobtrusive, and goes really well with everything on the counter (my wife didn't even notice it on the counter, even though she saw me unwrap it), but there's somehow enough room to hold at least a few items or to accommodate a larger lid... than you think it can stand. The weight and rubber feet keep it in place and make it durable. The plastic insert on…

If America recommends Test Kitchen, it should be fine. And so it is!

We've thought long and hard about where to put the lids on the pots when cooking. Most of the time we just put them on the stove, which means extra cleaning. In an episode of ATK they reviewed cap holders and they featured this one here. And it was their winner because it's handled every lid they've put on and doubles as a dish holder (keeps them upright). I thought it was excellent and was happy to find it at Revain at a great price! Everything ATK says about it is true! It's heavy enough to…

Very good lid holder but cumbersome with large/heavy lids

It fits my largest cookbook, a 10" cast iron lid and a 14" stainless steel pot lid. The silicone dropper is removable for cleaning. While the lid holder won't fit in most cupboard drawers, it will fit on a cupboard shelf or deep pot drawer. I can't use it as a spoon rest if it has a big lid, but that doesn't bother me - I have other spoon rests. I've included some pictures that should show you that the top edge of the large lid protrudes a few inches past the base. Yes, that flips it backwards.

Built to last

Like everyone else I saw this lid holder on ATK. My daughter bought it for me as a present. It is beautiful and truly built to last. It took me a while to realize that I didn't have to wash everything, that it was still so easy, the mug at the bottom slides out to clean. Looks beautiful in my kitchen. The sad part is that all but one of my eyelids are bulged. I did not think about that. It "works" for domed lids, but works much better for my flat lid! And when I'm not using it as a lid, it's…

Ideal for a small kitchen!

My kitchen has almost no counter space so every time I had to put a pot lid on the counter I couldn't put anything in it! I saw this spoon holder/pot lid holder in an American test kitchen and immediately found it at Revain. I wish I had found out about this topic sooner! I can't believe I've been living in my apartment for 7 years now struggling with pot lids and the usual spoon holder! The metal frame gives it a good weight, so you can be sure that it will hold the lid and your kitchen…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Electrical outlet required

Have you ever cooked and had to either stir the pot or add more ingredients? We all have. Then you have a super hot hat, where do you put it? Place the lid handle-down on the counter without burning your hand, or place it wet-side down and make a mess on the counter, or you've cooked on the counter and haven't had one since More room to put the lid on You don't have room - not the best choice. I saw another similar product from a pot and pan manufacturer. The costs were more than double. We…
