Product METRIC Bolted

An 8mm dowel requires a 12mm hole in the concrete to hold securely. It's just over 7/16. Not having a 12mm hammer drill, I used a 7/16 bit to drill through the concrete and "wiggled" it a bit as I drilled to create a slightly larger hole. Care must be taken when doing this, however, as too much "wiggling" will cause the hole to enlarge slightly, reducing grip strength. I had to open up the entrance to the hole for the anchor to go in the hole, a bit small. Then hit the anchor with a hammer. Cut that as well Sleeves off about an inch. before installing into a log wall. It tightened, but would curl up if I…

M6 size option requires a 9mm diameter pre-drilled hole. This is not the typical size you will find in most DIY drill bit kits and will generally need to be specially purchased unless you have a taller/larger drill bit kit. In terms of American transformation, too, there are no true equals. A 3/8" or 10mm drill bit will do, although it's slightly larger. It's not big enough to not work, but the bolt is such a small diameter that when you try to tighten the nut to expand the hub, it just turns…
