M6 size option requires a 9mm diameter pre-drilled hole. This is not the typical size you will find in most DIY drill bit kits and will generally need to be specially purchased unless you have a taller/larger drill bit kit. In terms of American transformation, too, there are no true equals. A 3/8" or 10mm drill bit will do, although it's slightly larger. It's not big enough to not work, but the bolt is such a small diameter that when you try to tighten the nut to expand the hub, it just turns as a whole, so you only have to put some filler in one piece Fabric that holds the hub tight enough so it doesn't rotate when you tighten the nut. and a few turns stretch the sleeve so that it tightens and locks in place around the entire perimeter. The first impression is that it is very strong. My application doesn't require a lot of force, but I don't think you'd want to test them with a maximum load of around 90lbs without using a proper 9mm drill hole to mount them. You're likely to lose some of that strength in the 3/8 or 10mm hole, which is slightly larger.
