I love this linocut paper, it's the brightest white paper I've ever used. It absorbs oil based inks easily and doesn't require a lot of pressure to get a good print. It's thin and stays strong when wet. The texture is just enough to be interesting without distracting from the printed image. It's a little tricky to tear as long fiber inclusions are harder to tear than the surrounding paper, but that's to be expected. And you get so much paper for the price!

I bought it almost three years ago. Made shoji doors in my house. One door has yellowish stains (has been through a lot!) The bathroom door looks white and new, I haven't dared to make a lamp yet and recently I was looking for something to make my wedding invitations look amazing. Guess what? I am a Chinese ink and calligraphy brush. it looks amazing. I also tried it on my printer and it looked fine, no ink leaked. Here it is from someone who tried it!

Just received my order and yes it is indeed Shoji Rice Fiber Paper (#6MMU) is an 11" x 60ft Reel - wasn't sure of the description and took it confidently from another reviewer's description. I'm glad I got it at a good price and it seems to be a lot stronger than most "rice" papers (which are made from mulberries and other plant materials, not rice!).
