Good Stereo Splitter Cable

I used this cable to split stereo audio from a TV line to two wireless stereo headphone transmit inputs. It worked very well. I had two different types of wireless headsets - one infrared and one RF. The only thing that would be better is the cable length of the plugs. They're only about 6 inches tall, which made it a little tricky to get to the ports on the two transmitters placed side-by-side. Performance and design are good.

Others couldn't be happier

I wanted to use a headset between my PC and Mac and tried this cable first but encountered noise and hum. Then I bought an old fashioned A/B switch but same problem! What I learned was that the ground plane was the same for PC and Mac, so I invested in a simple ground loop isolator (Revain Pyle PLGI35T 3.5mm/1/8" Stereo Audio Ground Loop Isolator) for $10! Together the problem is solved!Could not be happier and others

Ideal for listening to 2 audio sources with one headset

I work in an office and wanted to be able to hear my computer sound along with music from my iPhone using just one set of headphones. Headphones. So I bought this cable, plugged one end into each device and plugged my headphones into the jack. Perfect! I'd agree that this isn't great for combining audio sources for recording, but for this everyday purpose, this weird little Y-cable was *exactly* what I needed.

Pros
  • Audio cable
Cons
  • Gotchas

Significantly reduces volume and distorts sound quality.

This was the only 1 jack 2 plug 3.5mm splitter cable I could find. I was hoping this would allow me to use one pair of headphones with two devices. Although I can do this, the audio volume is significantly reduced and the audio quality is distorted. As this is the only splitter of this type on sale I am not sure if this is a bad product as the desired effect is not easy to achieve. or because the product is defective.

Pros
  • Stereo Jack Cable
Cons
  • Annoying

Seems good --- not working for my needs.

I don't know why but it didn't work for me. I tried to connect two inputs (computer and echo point) to one speaker. The thought was that I could play music through the Echo Dot speakers while still hearing notifications from the computer, or play videos through the same speakers. However, for some reason, audio from the computer only worked when the other end of the Y was not connected to anything. As soon as I connected the other end it fell to almost nothing. ALSO, Amazon wouldn't let me…

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • Minor problems
