Didn't work - computers and accessories

Got it, plug it in and it doesn't work even after checking with operators. was defective and had to get one elsewhere which works like a charm. I am sending this back.

Cons
  • poorly thought out

Very simple, just plug it in.

Works great. Good signal from bottom to top. If your WiFi has a special character in the connection password, press the star on your Yealink phone multiple times to enter the correct character.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Old Model

I can't use it in networking products

Hello, I bought this to put next to my desktop from my home office. My desk is about 50 feet from my router and I can't get a stable Wi-Fi connection. I was able to establish an initial connection and get service, but after 10 minutes the connection dropped and could never be found again. I keep running to my phone to see who's calling and inevitably don't answer.

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • Neutral

Yealink T42S Firmware Update Required

Yealink's own website claims to work with Yealink T42S phones, but requires a firmware update to at least version 66.84.0.10. Please ensure your phone can be updated to this firmware before purchasing - AT&T-ready devices will get stuck at 66.81.25.9 on 3/8/2021 and are therefore not compatible. AT&T advised us to buy the WF40 running the older firmware. I will try to update this review if not.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High Price

Great little WiFi dongle on desk phone

A bit tricky to set up, you need to make sure your phone has firmware that supports this WiFi dongle. First I needed to update my Yealink phone. Works great now. Slight latency when calling compared to a direct internet connection to the phone, but great for areas where you can't connect

  • Electronics
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Useless with t46s on ringcentral

If you connect t46s to ringcentral, Ring Central will do its best to keep the chosen but highly outdated firmware version on this phone. This version does not work with WF50. After hours of troubleshooting, fiddling with phone settings, and even importing hand-edited versions of phone configuration files, you're done. This is just crazy (and stupid). Ringcentral is not a niche player, they are huge. They should have fixed that a long time ago. Yealink aren't tiny, they're huge. You should work…

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • Dirty hardware
