Not sturdy - handcrafted

This item was about half what I saw at Revain. Most reviews mention that the product is not durable and this is an accurate description. Luckily I only needed the screw as my old one didn't break. In general, I paid $ 16 for the screw.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Not as good as it says it is

Large embroidery frame does not grip fabric well

Large embroidery frame does not grip fabric well. When the hoop is tightened, the inner plastic part holding the fabric lifts. My guess is too much tightening pressure or the tire is deformed. Because of this, my fabric shifts when embroidering.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Easy repairability

Doesn't hold fabric well

I bought this tire to save time and it was a waste of money. The long sides of the hoop don't hold fabric well, and that's why I needed them. I'm sure there is a way to get this to work, but the point is to do LESS work, not more. I think thicker fabrics/backings will work, but something translucent like soluble backing for free-standing embroidery or neat appliqué edges. forget it and buy something else.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • For old

Frame size not the same as original Brother frame

Rated this second purchase a 3 simply because YES it fits my car but I only needed the insert and not the whole frame. BUT the frame is NOT the same size as the original. It's larger and the inner frame doesn't fit my original, which all my markings were on. So if you are looking for the whole block it will work just fine. The frames are not Brother and the two I bought do not fit the frame. . But the $ isn't wasted, the whole block is still usable, and the cost is reasonable. Good replacement.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Doubtful

WILL NOT FIT BROTHER PE800

I have a Brother PE800 which is identical to the Brother PE770 apart from the extra bells and whistles. So there should be no doubt that it fits the way they claim it fits the 770. After a month of waiting for delivery to Canada, it arrived on Friday and I haven't been able to try it on until today (Sunday). I tied the hat and already had the logo to sew onto the hat. Unfortunately, when I pressed the button to check the gaps, the embroidery arm moved and the clamp holding the hat beak…

Disappointing

I took a chance on this frame and was disappointed. It fit my Brother LB6800 machine, but my hardest part was removing the hoop from the carriage when changing colors. I was afraid that I would break the carriage. Also, it was deformed and hit the flat part of the car, which was very annoying. Finally, I mainly use this for freestanding lace projects and I only have a thin fleece in the tire and couldn't tighten the stabilizer for life no matter how tight the tire was. I will try the…

Pros
