It's ok but not worth the trouble.

Okay first let me say it was pretty good for the first 2 months I used it but then it got worse. First, the headband continued to flex so that every time I looked down, it would come up to my chest and not snap into place. It then worked fine when I started using it for TIG, but after a few days it started blinking which is awful. If you've ever had a range hood that couldn't handle TIG welding, this was the worst. You're going to be sweating, and suddenly your bonnet will stop ringing and the…

Wow, what a great helmet!

I researched a lot of welding helmets before I bought this one. I have never heard of this brand, I have also studied it. Reviews are helpful here too. As the most passionate metallurgist/classic mechanic I've had reasonably priced and quality helmets over the years and each has done its job. But none had the same field of view and clarity as this one! Wow, "side" windows change my ability to work so much. I no longer have to lift the hood to see the area around what I'm welding. A clear view…

Structural Ironworkers Beer Thirty Hood Review.

I am a locksmith. I have put this hood through some abuse in the past week since I received it. This is the best economy hood (not Nexgen or Speed Glass) I've used. I've used it indoors and outdoors. I didn't light it up while welding. The clarity of the picture before the arc is ignited is amazing (read that there is no trace of the arc outside the welding area). My complaints aren't really the hood's fault. The supplied headgear does not work with the helmet. I used Jackson Halo. I can attach

Great product, reasonable price.

It may sound silly to buy a welding helmet because you want the tool to do its job primarily, but you also want to look cool. I thought this helmet was cool, but it's also very functional. I wanted to learn to weld. I looked at a $300 welding helmet and then thought why spend so much money when you don't even know what you are doing, so I went with the much cheaper option at YesWelder. The automatic dimming works very well. I've never worn a welding mask, but the mask lets you see how you work…

UV radiation caused burns in my eyes!

I am a home welder/hobbyist and for many years I had a standard wide field of view welding helmet that did not have auto darkening and required me to manually raise and lower the mask. I thought this helmet would be a great addition to my hobby but after 2 days of use I will be returning the Yeswelder auto-dimming helmet and going back to my manual helmet due to UV burns to my eyes. I used an auto-darkening helmet while repairing and modifying my trailer, which took a total of about 5 hours…
