Used with a manufactured cable with a switch to power and from that to a car amplifier to power a pair of 500 watt subwoofers for a home theater system It works well, also has a built in fuse for safety.

This is exactly what I needed for my garage radio project. I had some old speakers lying around that I wanted to dust off and start working again. I used an old computer cable to connect it to 120V AC at home. This unit now powers my car amp and subwoofers in my garage. I love it and my wife hates it :) Easy setup and adjustment with 12.5V DC output.
