Would buy again and will if mine dies!

I bought this unit and was surprised that it is better than I thought for the price. Usually the phrase "you get what you pay for" is accurate, but not this time. This time you get more for less. So far the iron has been accurate and has worked well for the small jobs I need it for from soldering and desoldering wires to small motors and the various tips help. And the funny thing is I used a heat gun for the shrink wrap but my wife ended up using it to get the bubbles out of her resin. Just…

Good price - is it worth keeping?

You get a lot of bang for your buck with this soldering station. I didn't test the DC power supply section, but did test the soldering iron section for accurate temperatures. A K-type thermocouple made by Fluke that I read an iron tip temp of 630 degrees when the reading was set to 700. I used the supplied instructions to calibrate and got a reading of around 704, which is good. I switched tips and the other tip showed 660 when the display was set to 700. So since the heating element isn't…

Works well; surprisingly good price

I have been building and repairing electronics for over 40 years. I'm a Weller soldering station specialist, although I've owned several other brands over the years. Due to the sheer volume of my surface mount rework projects, I looked for a rework station and found it first. It seemed to fit my needs, and it did, plus a few others. I haven't used the power supply, just tested it and it's a nice feature. The USB port is handy, although I don't really need it. The same applies to the voltage…
