Attempting to glue it to the door didn't work - just disappointment! Spent the day applying to the vehicle over and over again. Keep falling from the door. The bureaucratic tape covering the adhesive was removed, but the adhesive did not stick to the door. It just kept falling. Very frustrating. Looks good (silver) until it falls off.

Purchased to fit metal radiator caps so they don't scratch wood floors. Easy application and stays in place. I had a little extra and used it along the jagged edge of a plastic handle on a kayak. Thicker than it probably should be but I was able to apply it successfully and it stays in place. I would buy again if I needed something like this again.

Works much better than I expected! To be honest I had some doubts about how well this would work when my husband bought it. But the corner of my car door is very sharp, and I had to leave a note about too many cars in the parking lots, so I decided to give it a try. I almost didn't realize it was there and mostly invisible and saved a lot of painting work!

Although I give it 5 stars in every category, it loses my support somewhat because you can see the water/moisture underneath because it's transparent. I didn't think about it before buying. It spoils the overall picture. As for the product, it's great. It looks like it's sinking in as moisture is visible underneath - which never goes away. I bought another opaque color and will change it tonight.

Item doesn't work It wasn't big enough to fit in the door for the door guard, it didn't stay on the door of my Dodge Grand Caravan. It's very, very small in width and just not big enough to grab the edge of a door. There are so few nails inside to hold up the door it's a joke. It will never go through a car wash. I purchased this Yleternal Car Door Edge Protector to protect my new car's door edges from damage and also to protect neighboring cars that my door might hit. First of all I wouldn't really call it "clear". It's more of a translucent white. You can probably see the color of your car paint through it, but it will look washed out white instead of fully transparent. I've had this on my car for about a month and I admit that my car door has some strange properties. Curves that make it rigid.
