First of all I wouldn't really call it "clear". It's more of a translucent white. You can probably see the color of your car paint through it, but it will look washed out white instead of fully transparent. I've had this on my car for about a month and I admit that my car door has some strange properties. Curves that make it rigid. But I've had to fix a few of those spots so I don't have a lot of confidence that it will stick to the car for long. The application was easy. The machine was already clean, so I quickly wiped the job spot and began working along the edge of the door. The molding was very flexible and folded well for odd edges. The back of the tape came off well, so I was able to stick it on properly without second tries. In short, it worked as it should. It's not that the product is bad and doesn't serve its purpose. It's already saved me a few knocks on the door, so it works and it's worth every penny they charge you. But I would like to spend more and get a higher quality product. I'm just not happy with how it looks and I don't think it will stick for long.
