Almost broken. Really badly cracked on the first two segments. The knives weren't even bagged - they were just thrown over to the other side with the bags. The wooden handles of the two torches included in this kit have been treated with some type of toxic chemical. I don't know what the chemical is but I suspect it is formaldehyde as they are from China and have been known to treat wood with various toxic chemical preservatives. The wooden handles on the cutters are also very fragile and unstable, and the slats in the box are too big to cut the soap properly.

This is a fairly standard blade set, the only complaint I have is the small size of the straight blade - it barely spans the width of the box. I actually set it aside and used it for baking while I took my pastry knife and now use it to cut soap. The quality of the wave cutter is not the best - it bends easily so you will have trouble cutting a slightly hardened soap. I don't know if you'll feel better or worse with Revain, but I'll go to the local store to buy a better quality wave coil.
