The best budget portrait lens for mft!

Excellent budget lens! Got this for my son and his Panasonic G7 and here's what he did! The best budget MFT portrait lens. Not as fast as native glass, but bright and sharp.

Pros
  • Beautiful thing
Cons
  • Long wait

Ok but I had to glue the plugs on

Product was defective first. I had to fix the connecting tabs as they were loose and flimsy. There's nothing super glue can't handle. Works great now. There can be no price for an autofocus lens like this.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Not ramshackle lol good for DSLR lenses

I like that it's lightweight but it's not always good. In this case this is not a problem. No bad buy so far. The husband was happy with that. He wants to worry too much that it's plastic. This is actually a good product and was able to take great portrait shots of our daughters. So yes, buy if you are on a tight budget.

Pros
  • Always liked

  • Nothing here

Budget portrait lens

For those on a tight budget who need to assemble a range of affordable primes. This is a great option as it costs less than $100. It's incredibly fast for the money and has some great benefits. Unfortunately, my experience has shown what results from this: cheap and inconspicuous optics with softness, chromatic aberrations and sometimes strange color rendering. The glass isn't the cleanest and you get what you pay for. If you're a pro, stay away. If you're just starting out, this lens can be a…

Diamond in the rough, but only for certain cameras!

I'll start with the GOOD sides of this lens. FIRST this lens is also very sharp wide open and HA is minimal. The SECOND focus ring is very smooth with a long stroke for precise focusing when focusing manually. THIRD, it has manual focus override when you're in autofocus mode, although I have to say that in manual focus mode, autofocus is disabled on the lens itself. Now the build quality is plastic, but what else can you expect from a lens at this price point. FOURTH, it has a metal lens mount,

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
