It's not a bad product, nothing extraordinary.

Value for money lens. Approximately this was the cost of plastic Kenon 50 mm 1.8 until 2022. It was ordered immediately after the appearance in China. Neat packaging. Nice appearance. The lens came with a constant focus error (front). After correcting for this error in the camera, it began to produce sharp pictures that were pleasing to the eye. True, sharpness is very noticeably reduced at the edges of the frame. But for a portrait, this is not so important and even becomes part of the…

Pros
  • Reasonable price for a classic 50mm f/1.8 lens. Decent sharpness in the center of the frame. Light weight and compactness as the reverse side of the design and plastic housing. Red ring :) for Kenon is always nice.
Cons
  • A strong drop in sharpness at the edges of the frame. Chromatic aberrations are very annoying. Autofocus misses and slow focus. But in these two parameters there is significant progress compared to the first version.

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

I ordered from a well-known store, except that the delivery was from the 2022. After examining the glasses, it turned out that there was a small lint behind the front lens near the inner wall of the case. It does not affect the quality of the photos in any way, so it is not critical. In principle, for its price (4400), a very acceptable fix. Version 2 differs from the first in appearance and a minimum focusing distance of 0.35m. Metal bayonet. Structurally, it is made in such a way that a hood…

Pros
  • Large aperture, fairly fast autofocus, price
Cons
  • Not for the price

The item was good, I'll recommend it to my friends.

In general, everything is fine, for a photo not on the cover, it’s generally super. If you are just starting to master photography and have not yet decided whether it suits you or not - a cool value for money. For photos of friends and non-commercial filming very worthy

Pros
  • An inexpensive lens that makes it possible to take good pictures. Small in size, not heavy.
Cons
  • Not very fast and not always the most accurate autofocus. Still, you need to get used to it. Sharpness can hardly be called very good, but as I understand it, many fixes sin with this.

I have several of these lenses at my disposal, I often use them for shooting, I even tried to shoot in the studio a couple of times - the result is good, even at aperture 2.2, I thought it would be worse. At 1.8, the second version had a good result, the first one was worse. Remember that the tool to learn how to shoot portraits is that in order to get a sharper picture - you need a much more expensive glass, namely glass. Here the lenses are plastic.

Pros
  • - Price. You won't find a better quality/price ratio lens - Frame. New, more monolithic body - Bayonet. Now it is metal, the old one was plastic, ebay is full of past versions of lenses with broken "ears" - Picture. after the 'kit' lens, this is a new step for the beginner
Cons
  • Still not glass, but this is completely different money, so there are no shortcomings here

Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

Somewhere in the comments I read that there are a huge number of hamsters that just die from the red design. I'm just such a hamster! Canon uses this style mainly in the design of high-end devices, for example, the L series, because in the world of photography, red is subconsciously associated with cool optics. Knowing full well that the lens is potentially no different from the previous generation, for it has remained the same 50mm f/1.8. And everything that can be squeezed out in terms of…

Pros
  • I don't understand why this product should be judged by a professional. A pro will buy a lens for himself at a price of at least 10 times higher, and this one is taken by beginners who post with the words "look at what awesome pictures" the image captured on the phone from the camera's display. So all these flights and undershoots of autofocus - I didn’t even pay attention to this when choosing a lens. A metal bayonet mount, which was clearly lacking in the old 50mm f/1.8 version. There is hope that it will be stronger. And red lines! RED.
Cons
  • Autofocus misses, plus either front or back. A little soapy somewhere. And of course yellow! And other quibbles. I have not noticed anything yet, because I am still learning))
