A few problems...

I've had these bulbs for over a year now and I have to say I'm disappointed! I'll start with what I liked about them: bright, color in the 5000k-6000k range, a decent price for such a crowd. Now here is a list of the problems I've had since installation: Out of 12 in my pack, 1 exploded in the flashlight body within a week, 4 bulbs flashed within 6 months (but only with 1 or 2 LEDs on the bulb, bad soldering/ compound) and 4 melted plastics in a year. As I said, the price is good, but I don't…

DON'T BURN YOUR CAR!

I installed them in my instrument cluster on the dashboard. Within ten minutes of shorting out one of the lightbulbs while driving, my parking lights went out and my truck was filled with a cloud of smoke that smelled like burnt plastic. I later removed the bulb and socket from the cluster and found that the bulb had burned out and melted itself and the socket. Now my outlet is burned out and my truck smells so firey it's giving me a headache. I wish I had seen other reviews before purchasing…

brighter but bigger

brighter than old incandescent bulbs. That's blue light. Looks like the nameplate is illuminated on BMW and Lexus. That's why I bought them. Change the bulbs in the OE panel on my 2013 Frontier. However, I encountered a problem during installation. The LED is longer than the old bulbs. The small plastic housing in the bumper, into which the bulb socket is screwed, is flat. Just deep enough to accommodate old glass flasks. So I installed them in another car's side marker. First I noticed a…

Well they worked. in bulbs

I wouldn't say I have a "simple" car, but it's far from fantasy. I decided to replace every light bulb with LED to make the car cleaner and more beautiful. They are very light and white. Easy to assemble but may vary by vehicle. White and brighter light helps improve your vehicle's visibility and safety. My only issue with these bulbs (and this can be a common problem with LED bulbs) is that they started flickering after 1.5 years of use. Flashes every time they are turned on. I assume it's a…

power pigs. Too bright!

They reduced my bike's power from about 2.25 watts (tungsten bulb) to 1.1 watts (hot). It's not a big savings! My VERY bright Sylvania LED taillights and amber taillights use 0.3 and 0.5 watts respectively, while the (even brighter) Sylvania brakes and turn signals use 1.75 and 1.5 watts respectively. One would think that only a fraction of 1 watt is required for an instrument or license plate light. When placed in a cramped, idiotic flashlight case, they're too bright due to the higher voltage

EXACTLY what I needed, THICK and STRONG metal connectors!

These lamps are exactly what I was looking for. My truck has 11 interior lights which I replaced with LEDs but they randomly shorted out, flickered etc. I went as far as installing the regulator and balancing equipment recommended for using LED interior lights but the problems remained exist. Among other things, I kept finding that no matter what light bulbs I used, the metal contacts would end up either burning out or melting. I finally found a set of Philips lightbulbs that worked and had…

6th generation white nice car bulbs

I installed a whole bunch of these on my Subaru Ascent to replace all the interior lights as well as puddle lights, trunk lights, license plate lights and side markers. The lamps have a well formed tongue with connecting wires on both sides so they work correctly in 168 and 192 fixtures without flickering. About 1.5 times brighter than factory incandescent bulbs, but with much better color. By the way, the actual color of these lamps is about 5000K, which is a very good white color. 6500K will…

  • vulgarity

Just installed a pair of these in the front position lights on my 2006 MINI Cooper S (R53). They work like magic. I've seen on some MINI user forums that some people have had the experience of the fault lights illuminating on the dashboard on different MINI models and different brand LEDs. I haven't seen this issue specifically on 2006 models, so it may not be so much an LED backlight issue as it is with a specific MINI type. They tend to fix such silly little things year after year. However…
