Bench-mount machinist vise with stationary base, 4.5" nominal jaw width, and extra-large jaw opening and throat depth provides clamping action for heavy-duty applications. Flat, stationary base provides a firm, even foundation when mounted. Ductile iron body is durable and strong for extended life. Jaws are grooved for enhanced grip and can be replaced when worn. Meets Fed. Spec. GGG-V-410B Type VI Class 1 specifications and is made in USA.

Well made clamp vise

Disappointed with the quality of the Chinese made goods I decided to buy American made vise for my new business. I ordered a Yost 4" vise and am very happy with it. This is a very well made tool, strong castings, beautifully finished, runs as smooth as silk. Don't be fooled! American buy! These are great grips!

Fiction! It saddens me that there are so few of them.

that is almost a work of art. Smooth operating handle with oil and lifetime warranty. You only offer them if the product outlasts you. Yes, it's 5 times cheaper than the POCs I could buy, but I'll never have to buy a vise again. Fiction! It saddens me that there are so few reviews of this cream. This tells me that people are not willing to pay that price for a great product for a lifetime.

5 stars IF you can get one without the pin sticking out of the machined flat bottom.

A MAJOR deficiency raises it from 5 stars to 1. There is a pin holding the lead screw in a vise. These pins go through the bottom and stick out to keep the vise from lying flat. This renders the vise unusable. The bottom was perfectly flat BEFORE the pin smashed through. They've sanded it down, but there's still a lot sticking out. Otherwise excellent quality. Made in the USA, 65,000 psi Malleable Iron, Fine workmanship, Smooth operation. How could they have overlooked this defect in multipleโ€ฆ
