Best value for money tools and equipment

It worked when i read a review saying it had to be modified to fit to fit the engine lagged badly once i cleared the back of the cams the tool slid right in, i beveled the edge of the flat cam tool, to help with the install isn't really needed but did it to make me happy, great tool, great deal

Pros
  • Designed to lock the camshaft and crankshaft in position to allow removal and replacement of the timing chain on Vauxhall/Opel twin cam engines
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Good value for money tools and equipment

It worked as it should. I read a review that said it had to be modified to be suitable for this. just slid in, i beveled the edge of the flat cam tool to make installation easier, not really necessary but did it to please myself, great tool, great deal.

Pros

Cons

Worked well after rebuild

Didn't hang up to the ears out of the box. For the installation of the camshaft sensor disc I had to make a little more recesses in the device (picture attached). Then it worked great. The price was right so I didn't mind a little modification to save a lot compared to an OEM tool. I also couldn't use the chain tensioner locking pin. It just wouldn't fit in the right place. But the next smaller size drill fitted perfectly.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Does what it's supposed to do

The kit contains everything you need to get the job done. The price of the kit is 1/5 the cost of the factory tool, so it's obvious that the material it's made of is pretty cheap. Think of it as a port freight tool, not a professional tool. If you only use it a few times that's fine, if you use it daily you can buy a factory tool. Set the exact time on the Cruze RS 1.4L Turbo 2013

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Economical Alternative

I bought this tool when I blew the head gasket on my 2013 Chevy Cruze 1.4 Turbo. He worked properly and kept everything at the right time. My only complaint is that one of the sync tools in this suite was a bit wonky. I assume it's warped from welding. I fix this by drilling a larger hole and bending it slightly so the screw holes line up. Another thing I noticed is that the chain tensioner pin isn't as thick as it should be, but I just used one nail for my needs. Otherwise this tool worked…

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
