Great for Turtle Beach X31 on PC

Bought this cable after reading another review about using the Turtle Beach X31 XBox 360 headset on PC. It worked wonderfully! Here's how to do it [.] The whole process requires another cable with a 3.5mm plug and a 3.5mm plug, but I already had one of those. :)

Ideal for DIY projects.

I often found it cheaper to buy a cable than to buy two plugs and make them yourself. I have many homebrewing projects that use these connectors, so by cutting this cable in half I not only got a pre-soldered connector but also a small pigtail!

There seems to be a problem

Many reviews on this product warn that half the stereo channels are not working. I bought this cable and a second (longer) one just in case from another company. Of course, with this cable, one side of the stereo channel is heavily attenuated. Switching to another cable I bought; no problem. It's probably not worth buying this cable because it's defective.

Great adapter cable

I needed small cables to adapt MP3 players with custom output jacks to car stereo inputs. I found these and ordered several. They work great, love their short length and great forks. I have purchased various cables from this vendor. In all cases the quality of the cables was good to excellent, they worked right out of the box and the price was amazing. I would buy from this seller again anytime. Thanks to Revain for putting all the points together, my favorite place to shop.

Works as expected

Package arrived as expected. The cable works as it should. 4 stars because one of the pins is slightly crooked. I don't know if that was the case or if I could be causing it, but I don't recall bending it myself, so the plug must be a bit softer than it should be. Works flawlessly. It's not about the product, but L-shaped connectors on both ends would be much better for my use (video mic to DSLR camera). I hope the supplier will add them to their product line.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Long time

Looks solid enough: Accessories & Consumables

I'm a firm believer that 'cable is cable' and this cable doesn't disappoint. I use it to connect my phone to my car stereo and it works flawlessly with no static, popping or noticeable audio degradation. However, the end connections are HUGE. Something to be aware of. In my case the 2.5mm end connected to the underside of my stereo's bezel and it hit the dash and didn't go in. I took a razor blade and carefully cut off the plastic molding and now it fits perfectly. This is important to consider

Pros
  • Well made
Cons
  • unreliable

Does what I have to do though.

Well I bought this about a year ago to connect my Android phone (3.5mm) to a Pioneer stereo (2.5mm) in my truck. I have a car phone dock that can be used for GPS and speakerphone. I routed this wire behind the dash and out to the jack on the front of my stereo. After turning it on and off for about 6-8 months, I found I had "lost" my right channel. Hmmm. Been through this for many years. He began to twist (twist) the cable from the stereo side, and it became channel. After doing this maybe…

  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Exactly as pictured

This 6ft cable is exactly as pictured. Some of these types of small cables and adapters differ from those described or illustrated. I don't know why, but fortunately this cable arrived in November 2011 as pictured and described. Important Notes: 1) The 2.5mm side has a massive (relative) amount of rubber for the connector. Seriously, what the hell? 2) These are 3-pin connectors on both sides. If you don't know what it is, it's a standard headphone jack with two black rings forming "3 Poles"…
