Sweet. It seems noisy. on thermometers and timers

It is easy to use and keeps time for you as advertised. And yes, the shape of the tomato is cute. The ticking is pretty loud so I probably won't use it for work as it's a little distracting (but maybe for kitchen stuff). It ticks a bit after ringing, but I think it might just be because it's mechanical.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Negative gift

What's not to love?

I first bought this humble little timer in September 2020 thinking I might try Pomodoro but it didn't work for me. Instead, I used it every day, for cooking, for temporary hair masks, for everything. I accidentally dropped it in a pot of boiling oil last week and it seems to have taken its toll. I just ordered another one. It's as beautiful as it gets.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Short Instructions

Stopped working in a month

I used this timer at work as a pomodoro timer, setting it for 55 minutes and getting up for a walk every hour when it was off. It was working great until this did. It just stopped working about 3 weeks after I used it, it will just stop working before time runs out. Maybe in 1 minute, maybe in 10. But as a timer it's useless now because it's unreliable.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Wrinkled Pack

Broke after 40 days

It never worked properly, only occasional calls when it wanted to. BUT I work best with the Pomodoro technique, and just having something next to me counting down has helped me stay on track, even if I get a little overtired here and there. Unfortunately, it just stopped working exactly 40 days after purchase. No more countdown, definitely no more calling, no more refunds. DO NOT BUY.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Compatibility

The perfect little mechanical timer. It's noisy.

This timer is completely mechanical. Just like an old school pocket watch that had to be wound up every day. A lot of people complaining here may not be aware that you have to wind it up to 55 minutes to wind the spring and then set the time. If you only wind it up to 5 minutes, it won't have enough power to power the bell when it hits 0. Yes, it keeps ticking a bit after the alarm. But that is the nature of mechanical watches.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Annoying
