I ordered 10 different hard metal rings to compare because I wanted a travel ring. They range in price from this (least) to Neiman Marcus's Fantasia. I assumed I wanted to leave NM. I'm SHOCKED that this one with the rectangular pillow was the overall winner! I hope the metal doesn't tarnish or discolor my finger; I'll update this when it happens.

A beautiful solitaire that sits high enough to be worn flush with an engagement ring. I searched and searched for a ring this high, not 8 carats or more. I know some people who love the giant diamonds that celebrities wear, and that's fine with whatever makes you happy. It is a stone weighing around 2 carats which catches the light very nicely. The "corridor of mirrors" effect that real emerald cut stones have is flawless in this ring.

Nice but the stone is quite loose and the ring has scratches on the band. otherwise i love it. The size is a bit small. I usually wear a 9, but it fits a bit tighter than my other rings. Unfortunately due to the loose stone this beautiful ring is not durable enough to wear which is disappointing. I want to replace it but I'm worried that it will be easily scratched if it was only scratched in transit. so it wouldn't be worth it. **Update:. After only a few months of constant wear, one of the small stones in one of the flower mounts fell out. I wear it the opposite way and nobody is the wiser.
