Z Ink Replacement LC203 MFC J4420DW Review

Ink cartridges are usually very expensive and it doesn't help that the printer sometimes uses ink to clean the printheads. I found them and wondered why they cost so much less than printer manufacturers' cartridges. I think the printer manufacturer is selling the printer cheaply hoping to make a profit on the cartridges. But this cartridge company doesn't do that kind of business, so I decided to give it a try. I'm really happy with them; they do a great job.

I'm giving them 2 because I was able to install and print them a bit and the print quality was no different from brand name cartridges. However, my printer now hisses and refuses to recognize the cartridges. I hope I haven't completely screwed it up and going back to the brand will resolve the issue. I was skeptical when I ordered it, but oh dear! I'm so glad I did! They work great with my brother's printer and are several times cheaper than branded ones. Honestly I couldn't be happier. Will definitely order again. Oh! And it seems they have more ink than brands. After 3 or 4 color print jobs, the ink meter shows half or less. But not so with these. Eceb after cleaning cycle!

I've used EZ Ink in several different Brother multifunction machines over the years. It has never happened that the cartridge was not recognized. Colors and coverage were always consistent, even with photos on glossy or semi-matte photo paper. There may be cheaper inks out there, but they are inexpensive and reliable.

I haven't used branded ink for several years. I recommend you to use this ink instead of branded inks as they work just as well as branded inks. The printer manufacturer will tell you that if you don't use their ink, your warranty will be void. This is really normal as you can replace a printer for much less than the cost of branded ink. And over the years, unbranded ink has never damaged my printer.
