Gosh I was really skeptical about this light as there are so many to choose from. I checked out the lumens they all put up and it was one of the highest ratings. It was very easy to install and didn't require an adapter for my 2013 FLHX. They included several other adapters so I'm sure you need the one that is in the box. If you are using the 4 pin low profile adapter used in most 14+ Touring models, the blue/white and blue/yellow wires in the wiring harness are reversed.
