The insert is VERY tight, so tight I have to squeeze it with pliers to get it out of the Zippo case. When the liner arrived I filled it up and blew out air. came out and then tried to light it. For the price this is a pretty good lighter. I smoke a pipe so my lighter gets a lot of use and I don't expect a lighter to last forever. I get about a year of use before the spark cam fires. In my experience, there doesn't seem to be a single lighter that works 100% of the time. When I received this lighter, I wasn't expecting it to fail (or barely light) after the first fill.
