🍽️ Zak Designs Confetti 4-Piece Dinnerware Set 1678-7005 Review

I was specifically looking for recycled plastic mixing bowls and was happy to find/buy them. To be clear, the bowls themselves are fine. Why am I annoyed? For a company that specifically says, "Zak Designs is determined to lead by example in our commitment to protecting the environment” in their description of recycled plastic bowls. packed up to the gills in a huge amount of styrofoam. HUGE #fail, Zac Designs. I expected better.

These cute, lightweight bowls are handy in the kitchen and pretty enough to share with guests. The rims of the bowls flare out a little, which I initially thought was odd, but the bowls are actually easier to work with, especially if you have wet or slippery hands. The colors are exactly the same as on my screen. They're strong and haven't caused any problems yet, but melamine can become more brittle with age and if you manage to "just drop" it it can crack. I've bought several sets of these bowls over the years and would recommend them to anyone, with one caveat. Pros: They're very cute and colorful, aren't responsive, they fold well and the sizes included in this set cover the vast majority of mixing tasks (I have a large bowl from the same company that I bought separately that I use , when making things in very large quantities).
