I would not recommend this product if you are watching your sodium intake. It is impossible to control the rate of salt release.

I used these salt and pepper grinders in Germany and thought they were very good at the time. I had to have my own! 25 year guarantee? Couldn't be happier.

Use this lightweight grinder as a salt grinder. I love how the grind can be adjusted from very fine to coarse and how well it does its job!

Very high quality product - as you would expect, made in Germany - works well, excellent workmanship, 25 year guarantee. Expensive? Yes a little. Is it worth? absolutely disadvantages? As with a mill of this type, some salt may spurt out of the ground when lowered. If you want to avoid this, take the upside down one.

We bought this product to complement our pepper mill. I was hoping it would have metal internals; however, it is plastic. Because of this, I'm still considering returning the product. Looks nice and just like in the picture. On arrival it contained some salt which was in a postal envelope.
