Description of 📷 Zeiss Classic Planar ZF.2 T 1.4/50 Lens for Nikon F-Mount Cameras: A Black Standard Camera Lens for SLR/DSLR Photography (1767825)

ZEISS T* ANTI-REFLECTIVE COATING: The optical elements of ZEISS lenses feature T* anti-reflective coating on all surfaces and an optical design that guarantees images of superior brilliance at all times, even in unfavourable lighting conditions. IDEAL APERTURE WITH NINE BLADES: The finely tuned features of the optical design on ZEISS SLR lenses ensure a spectacualr bokeh, with particularly harmonious effect of the blurred areas of the image. The nine diaphragm blades and the resulting, virtually circular aperture on ZEISS SLR lenses are crucial to favorable rendition of highlights in the foreground and background. EXCELLENT IMAGE QUALITY: ZEISS lenses offer the highest possible standards in terms of performance, reliability and, of course, image quality. Quite simply, they are superior in every way. You can count on highly advanced flare control for crisp and brilliant images, and virtually zero geometric distortion, ensuring precise accuracy when reproducing shapes – especially useful when photographing products and architecture. PRECISE MANUAL FOCUS: Manually focusing a lens means controlling the image result from your fingertips. A good ergonomic design makes all the difference. ZEISS lenses stand out with their large rotation angle which enables precise focusing. Changes are immediately visible in the viewfinder. The high-quality focusing mechanism moves smoothly without play, thus also supporting the intuitive interaction with the focal plane. The precise engraving in meter and feet, and the depth of focus scale provide additional support for manually focusing. ELABORATE STRAY LIGHT REDUCTION: Rich, vibrant colors are vital to creating a lasting impression. Stray light in the lens, however, would lead to a brightening of the image, which is particularly visible in shadow areas. We combine various, elaborate techniques to reduce unwanted stray light, such as the famous ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating and a special jet black paint that is applied by hand to all lens element edges to ensure that reflections are prevented from the start.

The best thing Ive ever used, a great item for everyone!

The manual focus encouraged me to shoot more, it’s more interesting for me. And then autofocus portraits are somehow not ice. Handles even on af lenses work better. Different pros: Compared directly with the existing nikon 58mm f / 1.4 on the D750. Matrix in 24mp quite allows. If more, then it won’t pull, there you need to look at the milvus. And vice versa, carrying a huge and heavy milvus on matrices up to 25 megapixels, well, for an amateur, there is no big sense. Zeiss has an interesting…

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

Finally a dreamcomme true! I have been looking for this LENS for a long time. It was impossible to buy it in 2022, Finland. All only promised to enter next year. Quite by accident I managed to buy in Stockholm. Plus a refund of part of thecomsts from Global Blue on the ferry. Miracles happen on New Year's Eve! .) The first feeling is just a "Mercedes" among the lenses. The rest is acommpromise. ))) Now a bunch of NIKON D810 + Zeiss Planar T * 1.4/50 ZF.2 - gives amazing results. The built-in

Pros
  • The ultimate creative lens! It shows itself superbly on full-frame and NIKON crop.
Cons
  • What could be the disadvantages of the ideal? ! ; -))))

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Excellent picture quality for thoughtful shots. A wonderful lens in order to "feel the difference": between shooting with auto focus and manual, between dark zoom and fast fix, between plastic and metal. You can describe its merits for a long time, but I think the photos taken by him will speak for themselves: ? page=1 ? page=1 ? page=2 ? page=1 ? page=2 ? page=1 And ofcomurse, save up for a zeiss 85mm. Icomnfirm that his picture is even more magical! )

Pros
  • Excellent design, excellent assembly, quality is beyond praise. It gives a wonderful picture, a very pleasant bokeh, a large aperture only contributes to this.
Cons
  • The lens is manual, you can’t shoot a report with it. But when you take it, you understand what you are going for, and why you need it. Therefore, only its feature. I also noticed that the picture quality is reduced in backlight. But maybe it's just my crooked hands)

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

Like any good, quality thing does notcome easy. If in doubt to take because of the lack of autofocus - drop your doubts! The hand and the eye will quickly get used to it, before that I shot with a manual Sigma 1.8 28 mm, I instantly got used to it. It takes 30 seconds to aim. It reveals its potential well even on my old and weak Nikon D3000. When the result pleases and the work is not a burden; ) Bought recently, so far here are a few examples . Jpg ? page=0 ? page=0 . Pros
  • I won't write anything new! An excellent, worthy creative lens.
Cons
  • Did not find

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

I shoot on Nikon D300 and D800e. The lens is a drug. I've been trying to get over it for over a year now. Slow manual focus, fixed - what reportage can we talk about? But every time it is in my bag, and the shooting begins with the fact that I take a few shots with staff members, spit and take out Zeiss. In fact, I can not take other glasses. Pros: All-metal, heavy, glass, high-aperture. He even has an aluminum hood lined with velvety material from the inside. Smooth silent focusing, moderately

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

Good day comrades. I would like to share my impressions about this "glass". I took this lens when I tried Nikon's fast aperture on the d7100 from a friend: Nikon 85mm f / 1.4D AF Nikkor. A fairy tale lens, but it's not about him. Because there wasn’t enough money for it, and for portraits of 80-50mm it’s the best, I decided that fifty dollars is a must-have. Turning the handles of the mechanical lens, I realized that this is what I need. Interested Zeiss Planar T * 1.4 / 50 ZF.2. However, there

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

A wonderful creative lens with a natural pattern, excellent color reproduction predicted by DOF, and quality Japanese workmanship. In a few months, I lost the habit of autofocus (there were only autofocus before) and now focusing takes a fraction of a second. (especially since Nikon has electronic tips in the viewfinder - arrows and an indication of the exact focus). For video, it is generally optimal, thanks to the convenient course of the ring and good aperture.

Pros
  • The first glass that fully satisfied all my needs. It costs 7000 nikon as a staffer - permanently. The portrait lens is great, although you have to "dance" around the model. Architecture is more difficult to shoot - long-distance races or composite shots, but . architecture looks much more interesting after so many body movements - no geometry blockages, and most importantly, endless editing in Photoshop. Circles from blurry light sources are smooth, with 9 soft edges. The price matches the quality, which is a rarity these days.
Cons
  • The lens cap is uncomfortable to put on, especially when wearing a hood

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

An idiot's dream come true. Always wanted to have optics from Zeiss. And so I bought it. The very first sensation, as soon as I took it in my hands, was a THING with a capital letter. The design is fabulous. The course of the focusing ring is moderately soft, moderately elastic. And just the feeling of a solidly made thing. The plasticity of the drawing - well, what can I say . for this Zeiss is loved. Aperture. At first, the lack of AF was a little annoying, but quickly adapted. True, from…

Pros
  • The whole lens is one solid advantage
Cons
  • You can poke around and find it, but what's the point?
