Cuts 1.25 " diameter holes in 1/4 " steel like a master

I just received this drill bit and used it immediately to cut 24 holes (1.25" diameter) in 1/4". to drill steel. The chisel worked great and feels just as sharp as it started. I used a small (5 amp) drill press running at the lowest speed and I could use a little more power but it did the trick if I was careful with the feed pressure. I also used a lot of oil.

Be careful with hole saws

I've done this a million times with the Milwaukee brand, I can usually just about hit the material with enough force and it's not a problem, this one bites aggressively. After 6 broken bits I slowly hit the material and it cut through 1/8th of the steel in half the time after setting the groove. It's clearly better than most brands, but I use a hand drill,

It worked like magic and then the hole saw did.

I bought this to install a grab bar in the shower. I had to cut ceramic tiles. The tip of this device does not have a carbide tip. I tried using the igniter that came with the kit for a while then ran to the hardware store to get a masonry drill to replace the igniter. It worked like magic and then the hole saw could do its job. Did a great job on the two holes I had to make after changing pilots.
