VERY hot for oil

DO NOT buy this it is VERY hot to have on the oil pan, oil breaks down at around 120 degrees Celsius or 260 Fahrenheit and this worked at 200 degrees Celsius. 305F.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Skimpy manual

Fits Volkswagen

As it has a narrow profile it fits my 2006 VW Jetta and works great. 125 watts is enough for normal cold, but in extreme conditions there can be some light. But I have a 250 watt device and it's vibrating with force, awfully hot, so I think it's better. You just have to have the right expectations and everything will be fine.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • I won't tell

I bought three of these for my three family cars. One failed

I bought these direct from a Wolverine dealer a few years ago. All three warmed up normally to the touch. So my guess is that the oil was also heated as stated in their advertisement. One day I checked it was working and found it still felt hot - one of the three pads was cold, I checked it was plugged in and turned on - but still cold. Wolverine quickly fulfilled the warranty and sent me a replacement. So the moral of this story is that you have to "believe blindly" that the pillow is actually

Not hot but warm. When it worked

I thought this pad would change my winter truck start. It was so promising. It seemed to be a reaction to my cold winter starts. So I decided to buy this through Katz because it had 3 prongs, great directions and seemed like the right product for my application when I was setting up an oil pan to heat up the oil on a cold winter. I knew 125 watts isn't much, so I wasn't expecting a warm truck, just better than the world around me. Installation was easy. The instructions were fantastic and easy…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
