Lightweight Matte Box: The swing-away Wooden Camera Zip Box is a lightweight and compact mattebox that holds three 4x5.65 filters, mounts on 15mm LWS support rods (not included), and swings away for easy lens changes. Supports Tilting of Two Filters: One or two filters can be tilted by offsetting them in the filter tray and leaning them back into the housing. The swing away bracket also has the ability to tilt. Lightweight Carbon Fiber Top Flag: The removable top flag covers the front of the mattebox which is great for protecting the lens between takes. Rear opening of 114mm: The swing away back is 114mm. Snap in reduction rings are included for common lens barrel diameters of 110mm, 104mm, 95mm, 87mm, and 80mm. A universal cloth donut is also included for non-standard lens diameters or lenses that have a moving front while focusing. Includes: Mattebox with three 4x5.65 filter stages, Swing Away Back, Top flag, Cloth donut and Swing Away Reduction Rings Set. Weight 467.2g (1.03 lbs), Dimensions: 228.6 x 76.2 x 203.2 mm (9 x 3 x 8 in).

Light but overpriced.

The product has been put together well. It was a great lightweight matte box. However, the matte box tilt feature to fix ghosting issues with filters didn't work as advertised. If you are looking for a flip matte box, this is not the best choice. All in all, for the price, this is not the best choice.

Warning: not all filters are compatible (do not use thick 4x5.65 filters).

Not all 4x5.65 filters fit properly in this matte box, my personal NiSi IRND filters are quite difficult to install and remove from the mate box filter compartment due to the thickness of the filters and presents a problem, if that is the case then the safety of the filters themselves is at stake. It should be noted that this could have been such a great product if the filter bowl system had been better designed but unfortunately this is the one we are left with.

Expensive but worth it

I'm a big fan of everything I have from Wooden Camera; Their products are expensive but well designed and of high quality. This frosted box is no exception: the folding system works great and the shelf keeps the right size filters secure with no play. There's a slight vertical adjustment -- about 2/3 inches -- and that's where my only issue with the box comes in. There's really no reason they couldn't add a few inches to the vertical slider to allow for a greater degree of customization and…
