is ignited with a lighter and after several attempts with a ferrous stick. Basically it is a spring stick made of oiled wood. but I wish it could be split in half more easily.

They are not small. Haven't tried them yet but five stars for a good size. I have a feeling they will start a fire all of a sudden (again because of the size). Worth the price!

The product is good. No better than a cotton swab with petroleum jelly, but it works. It withstands a spark well and burns long enough to ignite even wet tinder.

Received very quickly from this seller. I'm giving four stars because they seem to burn for the advertised time but couldn't ignite them with a Zippo spark. Lighter or whatever lighter I have and I tried with no wind but lit it up with a match pretty quickly.

The article cannot be opened. He has scissors as a photo on cardboard and then a very, very thick and hard piece of plastic to cut it in half, cut through. I can't cut without metal scissors. I'm not joking. And they don't burn that much. It is better to order another type that burns the same 2 minutes and opens more easily. In earnest. abominable. I NEVER recommend this product.

I was looking for a new fire set for camping and living in PNW. It's always wet here, and things like Tinder aren't always a guarantee. I've worked with thick wood before and it's basically the same thing just chopped into small pieces. Just tried one as soon as I got it and it withstood the spark very well, tried it first, it caught fire and burned heavily for over 5 minutes before I put it out myself. I even hit it a bit while it was lit (in a controlled estate of course) and it didn't go out
