Clamp wings were too wide apart for my crimping machine. So I have to use pliers to get it in a bit before crimping the wire. No big deal, just an extra step.

This is one of the best electrical connections you can make. You will need a special crimping tool, which you can purchase from Revain. I used them to connect my ebike battery to the controller and had no problems.

After crimping the 45A pins and reassembling they mated perfectly with my Anderson power plugs. The only thing I noticed different is that they're a little lighter than red, which doesn't matter much.

Look closely at the pins as they are not typical Anderson crimp and/or solder pins, they are cheaper, kinks make connection difficult and are of poor quality . The contact area is also smaller than standard. Poor attempt at reproducing the original, other Asian vendors do a better job - they all go in the trash when I get a replacement.

It's a little hard to understand at first. After watching a few videos on Anderson 45a connectors things got a little easier. To a large extent, a good crimping machine that folds and crimps the wings properly is required. I used one of the MC4 solar crimps which worked fantastic. I put a zip tie and heat shrink tubing on top for durability. hope they hold up.

I wrote a detailed review for the 30 amp style. First, I think it would be better to stick with the Anderson brand. Better quality. They are not compatible with the Anderson brand. The dovetail part only slides halfway. I tried using a small hobbyist vise as a press, but all I did was break one. The metal of the crimp part appears to be tin. I would be afraid it will fail at any power draw and for an emergency this is not an option.

As others have noted, it doesn't connect to Anderson Power Poles. I use Andersons on my solar panel for my trailer.
